9 months!

We just went in for our 9 month check-ups yesterday.  The girls are doing great, praise the Lord.  Khloe is growing like crazy!  Here are her stats, and just for fun I'll compare them to mine when I was 9 months old.
Khloe:                      Molli:
weight: 22lbs 9oz      22lbs 3oz
height:  30 1/4"         30"
head: 18"                 18.6"
teeth: 1 just starting   8...well, I guess that's not from me ;)
Even though I can't claim much of her looks, with the exception of eyes and eye brows, I can claim all her stats :)  Kenzie has sure come a long way from her little 3lb 13oz start.

Kenzie:
weight: 17lbs 3.5oz
height:  27 3/4"
head: 16 1/2"
teeth: 0

We were also given the go ahead to start any food that is soft enough to stick a fork into.  So this morning, before our oatmeal we had a little scrambled eggs, banana, cheerios and bran muffin.  Thankful that my girls love to eat too!

all gone!

What a great weekend!

What a great weekend!  Not only was the weather gorgeous, but we celebrated Easter!  I really missed teaching this week.  First, the excitement of the kids as we would study Holy Week.  They were always in awe of the different stories that happened each day leading up to the cross.  I loved teaching them what Jesus went through just for me.  I learned so much from preparing the lessons, but also from the kids, faith like a child.  What a blessing!  I can't wait to be able to teach these truths to my girls.  I'm pretty sure that we're the only family (according to fb) that didn't take a family photo, but I did get some of my girls on Saturday in their Easter dresses.

yes, i know, she isn't the most photogenic child :) but she was 'looking' at me

If only I could read minds...if they could run, I'd think they were planning an escape

"You stay here, I'll go first"

Obviously something is more interesting than me.

Poor Maddie, just wanted to join us.

Today was also gorgeous!  They were finally able to wear their new spring outfit from gramma vk.  I took the girls out to play for a while, this time I let Maddie join us.  However, after 5-10 minutes I noticed she had disappeared.  I called for her, bribed her, yelled for her...no dog.  Brought the girls back inside and set off to find Maddie.  There's really only 2 places she'd go:  in the ravine to dig holes or to the river (she discovered she could get there last year).  Since she wasn't in the ravine I trekked down the almost dried creek and sure enough, she was having a hay-day swimming in the bayou.  Thankfully it isn't the actually river at the end of the creek, she'd just swim with the current.  Crazy dog!  No pictures of her, but here's the new outfits.
hey, sit up!

good, now stay right there.

we are in trouble...

ps.  we will be 9 months old tomorrow.  our mom is sorry about the photo bombing today :)

World's toughest job...somedays ;)

To all the moms out there, here's reality for us.Click Here

Next step...

I feel like I pack up clothes every other week, I simply can't believe how fast they are growing and changing!  Besides that, Khloe is trying to pull herself up on anything she can get her hands on.  So down went the crib mattresses this afternoon...here's why:
...

hey, look what i can do!

wah-lah!

yes, my sister is crazy sometimes.
Thankfully Khloe isn't able to get herself up from laying down yet.

Our new swings!

The girls got Little Tykes swings for Christmas this past year and being such a nice day today, we decided it was time to hang them up.  They loved them!!

Khloe's swing was squeaking, he's trying to figure out why

My little Dutch babies...

My mom was doing some cleaning last week and found some bonnets from when we were little.  Talk about perfect timing!  They fit my girls perfectly, I just need to fix a ribbon on Khloe's and we'll be set to go.  I absolutely LOVE them!!!

Peek-a-boo!

We have also been dealing with teething for what seems like months!  Still nothing!  But while I was making some carrots for the girls, I thought they might like something cool and tasty to chew on.

Speaking of teeth, it's never to early to learn to take care of them, even before they're here:

I plan to send these to my dentist :)
