A little laugh for Tuesday!

I was taking the girls and dog on a walk this morning.  There was a lady coming towards us and she must have been watching for a bit.  When she got close enough, I smiled and said, "Good morning"  she replies with "You have your hands full!"  Still smiling, I replied (with a bunch of extra cheer since I'm working with 3+ hours of sleep last night)  Yes I do!  She is almost past us, turns and says, It's a fun job though.
This is how I chose to take her statement.  I'm the baby sitter.  Which means, I don't look old enough to be the mom and my body doesn't look like it could have possibly just had 3 children in the last 22 months.  Molli: 1 Lady: 0

Responses I could have said:
It's a great job, you should see the paycheck...hahahaha
365 days a year lady!
You should see how fun it is when they're all crying.  Thankfully that rarely happens!

As for the girls:
Kayla is now 5 months old!
She is well on her way to reading...just kidding, this was a present from Kenzie
She loves to sing with daddy, watch her sisters, and ride in the back pack carrier.
She has found her feet, hasn't really taken to cereal yet (although this morning she did pretty well), loves to play peek a boo with her sisters over her crib railings, laughs, likes to ride/sit in the stroller and loves to chew her hands.
The twins are a few days shy of 22 months.  They love to sing and dance, play outside, and jump (we bought a kiddy tramp, but they jump on anything their feet can touch).  They love to play babies!  I am amazed at how quickly they pick things up.  Khloe put her baby in the grocery cart and then went and got a blankie and put it over the babies lap :)  They put them in high chairs and feed them, yesterday they gave them drinks.  Yes, real cups, no lids with water.  Whoops.  Kenzie would live outside if I'd let her and would take every single ball home with her.  On our walks she always says buh-bye as we pass each one.  Khloe can sing parts of Twinkle, twinkle and Old McDonald.  I'm just waiting for the moment they all of the sudden wake up and just talk in english.  Time to fold more laundry.  Once my camera card is working again, I'll get new pictures up.

I can...I will...I did.

I think my grandpa Groelsma would be proud.  I built a screen door today while my girls slept.  I wanted to be able to keep my front door open and keep the bugs (and children) from entering and exiting at will.

Yes, she has a blanket in her crib.  Yes, she can breath and it isn't covering her nose.

Planted seeds for my garden...

I also baked tomato basil bread...

Go me.  Enough bragging.  Get outside and enjoy this weather!

Spring photo op...

For your viewing and caption reading pleasure!
We love this weather!  And our shirts, thanks Aunt Barb
what?  You thought we were going to leave them in,,,ha!

Wait just a minute, I almost got it...
Yup...right there...
Kenzie, why did you leave your pony in?
Love you mom!
Don't worry, I'm just feeling the petals
and maybe picking a few.
Look!  a doggie

Girls...can you look at mommy?  Khloe?  Kenzie?
MOM!  How come you didn't look at the dog?
That's it, I'm done.  We ask mom to look at one thing after she
continues to make us look at her and she doesn't do it.  Time to swing.
Grandpa, we are trying to get to the swings

Life can be rough...

...when you're 4 months old!

I wore her around this morning while I was getting breakfast for everyone and Joe ready for work.  Life is tough.
4 month stats: 25 1/2" long ~ 15lbs 4.5oz
I think she's finally starting to level out and is much closer to average size for her age.  Kayla is wearing mostly 9 month clothing, but can still fit in 6 month leggings.  She loves her sisters and they are the ones that can get her to laugh the most.  She likes to sit up so she can watch everything going on around her and would like the johnny jump up if the girls wouldn't spin and push or try and climb in with her.  Kayla is quite a chatter box and thankfully sleeps well at night.

On the twin front...they are 21 months old today!  Khloe LOVES books!  I have 2 bins under our tv loaded with books and every night she'll sit down and pull them out one by one.  She has her favorites that she brings to us to read, really she just wants to turn pages.  Most she'll read aloud to herself, so precious!  She says cheese, please, up, yes, juice, apple, dog...and anything else I can't remember.  She loves to 'pat' Kayla and often forgets how strong she is.  Khloe is 33.8lbs and wears 8W shoes :) I love my biggest little so much!  She loves to give hugs and open mouth kisses, dancing, music, singing with daddy and cuddling when a lap is fee.
Kenzie loves balls!  Right now, all balls are basketballs.  She has a great arm and loves throwing anything over the stair and porch railings.  Her favorite words are out and ride.  Since we had a little bout with warmer weather and we spent every waking moment outside, she would like to be out everyday, no matter the weather.  She also says, cheese, maddie, pipey, blankie, yes, water, 'i no more' and will try and say anything you ask.  Kenzie also loves music, pipes, giving open mouth tongue kisses, singing with daddy, peeking on whoever is in the bathroom, turning on the faucet, opening the front door (my poor neighbors have to look at a gate on the outside of the front door :) and her dog. She is currently deciding if she'd like to take up rapping...

And a few out takes of our crazy life:
out...swing...out...ride...out...swing...out...

bunny down slide...
did i mention she likes books?

getting ready for tulip time
We got flamingoed!

See you next month!
