Making the most of 33...

As I mentioned a post or few ago, I was going to start finding places for everything in my house.  When I was in the Apples of Gold class a few years ago, one of the apples made the comment that your home should be a place where guests could stop by at any time and you could invite them right in.  I'll admit, my house hasn't been guest ready for a while...ever.
Anyways, yesterday as I was unloading the dishwasher and Kayla was doing her best to get into everything I prayed that I would be a better home maker.  Then last night I was talking with a good friend and she was saying how she really felt called to keep her home organized and orderly.  I'm not type A, nor will I ever be, but I can keep a home.  So you readers, are going to keep my accountable...

look, the flash even shines in the drip plates :)
this ones for you mom..clean counters

Now for what you really all look for...the cutest girls ever!
Picnic lunches with Little Einsteins!
Mom, they tried to jump of the plate.  But don't worry, I caught 'em.
See...
Nothing is safe from my go-go gadget arms
Don't worry, I kept my eye on her the whole time!

Children's Museum and Pizza Ranch Date!

After being locked up in the house all last week with colds, I decided it was time to get back out again.  With the weather being cool and windy today we decided to head to the Children's Museum.  Yes, I realize that 3 2 and under is going to be a blast on a cool, windy day at the Children's Museum, but we needed an out and we went to the gym yesterday.  Thankfully, we hit a good day/time.  It wasn't very busy!!!
I got this mom, I can hold all 12 balls...
See, piece of cake!
Half of the main level is set up as a Lil' Grand Rapids.  They have a Meijer, gas station, mechanic shop, bank...it's super cute!
They even have free Sandy rides!

Kayla was a rock star!!!  We let her manage the frozen foods section ;)
Working the conveyor belt and cash register
By far her favorite section of the grocery store...at least she takes after mom some how!
Her predictions for the big game this weekend!
So much fun!
Khloe does so well with these little set ups, she loves to color and did really well putting the marker back each time.

My little engineer

And my free spirited musician!

After the museum we stopped at Pizza Ranch for a little lunch and lots of messes.

Really mom, did you really just tell her she could feed me?  I am not thrilled...not one bit!
I'll take that, I can do that one MYSELF

So it begins...

 Scene of the crime...no witnesses...

Suspects:
Mom- running the trash out to the road
Khloe- watching Daniel Tiger
Kenzie- looking for Maddie's bone
Kayla- no where to be seen
BUSTED!
I would've gotten away with it mom, but I couldn't get this stinkin' bag off my foot!

Children's Museum with grandma 'Jagt'!

The twins received a Children's museum membership for their birthday this year from Grandma VanderJagt, or 'Jagt' as Kenzie calls her.  I am so excited to start using this, the girls had a blast!

Walking down Monroe...
Please keep all arms and legs in the vehicle at all times, doesn't apply to Kenzie
Especially if Khloe's driving!

Thank you gramma Jagt!  Come back with us again!

Here's to 33...

So, in just a few days I turn 33.  This next year I'm committing to my home-making.  I've always been one with a visual memory, I can remember where I put things (unless of course someone took it from wherever I left it, like my Hornets sweatshirt in middle school...or my camera) what it might be buried under or what drawer it may have been tossed in.  However, since having kids, my short term/visual memory hasn't been the greatest.  Partly because little hands have a way of hiding things in mysterious places and partly because things don't have a specific place.  I love cleaning the play room because everything has a place.  So this next year, if it doesn't have a place it gets pitched...good thing I have 365 1/4 days to work this out.  On a good note to end year 32, I found my camera!  On the shelf where the camera belongs, I swear I looked there 12 times! :)  oops!

A little lovin' from the girls to start your week...

I'm so excited!!!  Look what I found!
This is Kayla...the life of my party

Kayla's 9 month photos!

Oh Kayla, you are full of character!
So, you just want me to stand here and smile?
Not.
A.
Chance.

I'll give you this...
Or this...take your pick.
You love chasing everyone in your walker.  You maneuver corners, hallways and toys perfectly.  You trap your sisters in the bathroom by planting yourself in the doorway and laughing.  You have started pulling yourself up on EVERYTHING!  Now, if you could only learn to sit back down.  You love all foods, except green beans.  We love you very much and can't wait to see where the mischievous sparkle in your eyes leads you.  Love mommy.

I'm done now.
